YACL completed the “ASFT T-5 Friction Tester In-House Training” course at Yangon International Airport

23 February, 2023 - Today YACL completed the “ASFT T-5 Friction Tester In-House Training” course at Yangon International Airport. The training course was conducted from February 21-23, and it included theory and practical training on site. A total of 10 team members were certified today, members included are from the Airside Management team & Airfield Engineering Team from Yangon International Airport and Nay Pyi Taw International Airport.

The purpose of the training, is to insure the team are ready and capable to conduct friction test on runaways whenever in need of Calibration measurement & Operational Measurement, to make sure we are up to standard and code with ICAO standards. Friction test on runaway is important to determine whether the runaway is acceptable level of friction for Aircraft landing and take-off with minimal loss to braking action and directional control. At YACL, safety is a priority for our users at Yangon International Airport and Nay Pyi Taw Airport.
